- 1/8 red cabbage
- 1 clove garlic - crushed
- 1 onion - chopped finely
- 2 rashers of bacon - chopped
- 1green apple - chopped
- 2 cloves
- 1 level teaspoon carraway seed
- 2 bay leaves
- 1/2 teaspoon of salt
- 1/3 cup white vinegar
- Combine all ingredients in a saucepan and bring to boil with the lid on.
- Turn heat down to simmer stirring occasionally.
- Cook for approximately 30 minutes.
- Served as a vegetable - great served with chicken.
