Leek (served as a vegetable)

Ingredients 

  • 1 leek  
  • 1 tsp brown sugar  
  • 1 tsp chilli or sambal oelek  
  • 1 tsp fresh thyme - chopped  
  • 1 tsp butter and oil to cook

Procedure

  1. Cut leek lengthwise to clean under running water.  
  2. Chop leek and to pan with melted butter. Add thyme and chilli / sambal oelek. Stir whilst cooking.  
  3. Add brown sugar. Stir.  
  4. Serve immediately. Serve as a vegetable - great with chicken or steak.
